One Big Mistake

08/07/2016

Jeden velký omyl (One Big Mistake) is a piece that was composed in a single day, on June 14, 2016. It was an immediate reaction to the situation around me at the time. Its character is again somewhere else compared to my other compositions.

As is usually the case in my work, each composition carries with it a novelty that I had not used until then, nor it is different here, and the chorus (the main melodic section of the piece) uses a dissonant tone - the atonal chord was a thing I just couldn't get into it until then. Here, however, it fit perfectly and beautifully complements the whole idea and message of the composition.

Again, this is a turning point in my work, it is my eleventh piano composition, showing a more complex harmony than in previous pieces, and also using several elements from classical music.
